MOTHERS DAY 2010

Last night there was an earthquake!!!
Around 11:30 pm the tremor hitted, I sat in the bed, I was watching tv and I thought it was going to grow in intensity, but luckily it was only a 4.7 about 155 miles West of Santiago.

This morning I went to see the new apartment Pascale bought, in the eight floor, two bedrooms, two bathrooms with a spectacular view of the Andes Mountains!!!
She will move in next week, so I will be able to enjoy it several days looking at my dear Cordillera!!

Then we picked up my mom and we went to my sister Claire's home, where the whole family arrived, my brother, his wife my nephew, nieces and their husbands and children.
We had a wonderful time, eating all the delicious Chilean food, drinking Chilean wine and laughing with the people I love!!
Now I am next to Pascale, thanking the Universe for this wonderful oportunity to spend time with her!

SUNNY SATURDAY

Today I went out to lunch with my old buddy Tallo ( actually he was my boyfriend in the 70-73 ) and we have been friends since then.
He picked me up and we went to a Lomito place, ( lomito is a Chilean sandwich, of sliced boiled pork, avocado, mayo and tomatoe) You REALLY have to try it in order to understand the mix...hehe
It is delicious.
I drank a cold Heineken with it while se sat outside, listening to a couple of university students playing northen songs in a charango and pan flute.
We talked about our children and grandchildren and had a wonderful time reminicing about our youth.
Later that day I went out with my mom and Willy to see Pascale dance at the Municipal Theater of Lo Barnechea in a function to collect school utensils for the children survivors of the 8.8 earthquake who lost everything after the tsunami.
My daughter danced wonderfly and I was so proud of her!
I video taped the dance and I will upload it as soon as I edit it.
Willy gave her flowers after the dance and she was glowing!!!
After, all four of us, went out to dinner to a Japanese
restaurant in Las Condes and had great sushi!!
We took my mom to her Senior Suites and came back to the apartment.
Thank you, thank you Universe!!

REDISCOVERING SANTIAGO AGAIN

Today was a great day, sunny and warm.
Last night I spent the night with Pascale and this morning we went out in her car to do some errands, she drives like a Chilean, doing this close passes called "finitos"
It was lovely to walk hand in hand with my daughter, getting to know all the new places in Santiago.
We had dinner at my sister Claire´s home and it was nice to see my nephew so grown up and my nieces so beautiful!
We came home and I went to sleep so happy!!
