Hello my friends,
I am in Washington State..in an island..it is beautiful, with pine trees and clear water..visiting my grandchildren.
I have spend two days here and I thank the Universe for the joy of holding those little ones in my arms..life is good.

SANTA BARBARA TO SEATTLE WITH JOSHUA
We flew from Santa Barbara to Seattle with my grandson Joshua. He behaved great in the plane. Michelle and Nathan were waiting for us in the huge airport and we drove in the rain to take the ferry that would cross us over to the island.

"SMILE"
SMILE
Smile, though your heart is aching
smile, even though it's breaking
when there are clouds, in the sky
you'll get by...
If you smile, thru your pains and sorrows
smile, and maybe tomorrow,
you'll see the sun come shinning thru
for you...
Light up your face, with gladness
hide every trace of sadness
although a tear, maybe ever so near
that's the time, you must keep on trying
smile, what's the use of crying
you'll find that life
it's still worthwhile
if you just smile...
That's the time, you must keep on trying
smile, what's the use of crying
you'll find that life
it's still worthwhile
if you just smile...
Smile, though your heart is aching...is aching
smile, even though is breaking....it's breaking...
when there are clouds, in the sky...
you'll get by...
That's the time, you must keep on trying
smile, what's the use of crying
you'll find that life
it's still worthwhile
if you just smile...
You'll find that life
it's still worthwhile
if you just smile...
smile....

"MI VISIT WITH THE PRESIDENT OF CHILE MICHELLE BACHELET"
Dear Friends,
Yesterday I drove nine hours ( with my son Dimitri as a co pilot) at 80 mph across the Mojave desert from San Luis Obispo to Las Vegas, Nevada.
I went invited by the Chilean Consulate in Las Vegas to visit with the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet.
She was in Las Vegas for a reception given to her by the Chilean Community in Las Vegas, before taking off in the presidential plane back to Chile.
This was the last day of an incredible trip to Canada and California.
She visited both countries members of NAFTA.
Not so solicit help, but as an equal partner
Here in California she visited with our Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

Met with the director of the US Geological Survey John Pallister and his team. They sign an accord to extend the collaboration between Chile and the USA creating an early alert system.
As you know the Chilean volcano Chaiten, had a terrible eruption last month.

And she gave a speech at the Capitol in Sacramento in front of Senators and Representatives of the State of California.

Then she flew to Nevada and visited the largest Solar Power Plant

And after all that, she met with yours truly at a reception in the lovely hotel Wynn in Las Vegas

Where I told her how proud I was of her, and we reminisced of our days as young girls at the air force base where both of our fathers were officers and laughed remembering our friends in common.

She gave a conference at UC Berkeley title " Transformation of Chile" where she was presented with the " Institution 's Medal "

Later she visited the vineyards at UC Davis

And she gave a speech at the Capitol in Sacramento in front of Senators and Representatives of the State of California.

Then she flew to Nevada and visited the largest Solar Power Plant
She wants to use the Chilean Atacama Desert as a source of solar energy for Chile

'GRANDMAS FOR PEACE"
ATLANTA GRANNIES BECOME JAILBIRDS FOR PEACE
10 grandmothers and supporters, ages 57 to 80, tried to enlist in the US
Army at an Atlanta recruiting office on St. Paddy's Day. Following the
nurturing instincts of grandmas everywhere, they offered to replace young
Americans in harm's way in Iraq. When their generous offer was refused,
these gritty grannies stood their ground. "We insist! We enlist!"
When will the paddy wagons go to the White House for the real criminals? Stay
tuned. Special thanks to cameraman Bill Liggin of Artemis Productions for
providing the footage for this video.
