"YOU HAVE ARRIVED"

On an April day
on a Spring day
high on the snowed mountains
of South Lake Tahoe
near Emerald Bay
you arrived...

My grandson
wanted and waited for
your big blue eyes
search for the light
and your little hands
clasp grandma's pinky

Little sweet boy
you arrived in a day
when the birds
were arriving home
after a long trip
across the planet

As they sang happily
on the branches
safe in their blue lake
so you are safe in the
arms of your grandma

'ANOTHER LOVELY POEM BY MY FRIEND BERTA"

Remembrance

You left one day
to a unknown world
with sorrows and joy
you forged a future
with courage and bravery

Don't forget that here
are the nostalgic longings
that one day you left
seeking a dawn,
never forget this land

The land that saw your birth
one morning
roots that are present
when you reach the mountains

And despite that you no longer live
in this land that misses you
you chose to be a globetrotter
in a homeland so distant,

Never forget that you are Chilean body and soul.
Here are your dreams that you left one morning.
not you ever forget those who love you
and miss you.

"A POEM BY MY FRIEND BERTA URBINA"

Hello everyone,

Yesterday in Santiago, Chile. The Catholic University television chanel Canal 13 showed a documentary about my life and my mission.
I got a bunch of calls from Chilean friends here and in Chile, as well as e mails.
The same comment came from everyone, how touching the program was, how good it made them feel, what a boost of hope they got after seeing it.
Among my friends is Berta Urbina, she is a Chilean Poet, she felt a rush of inspiration after seeing the documentary and wrote me this lovely poem.
I asked her permission to post it in my blog and she said ok.

I want all of you to know how touched and honored I feel.

"A Great Woman"

Woman of great courage,

brave in life
hope and effort
you unfold with the day

Without fears nor pains,
you rise and you walk
to begin the sensible fight with audacity

Woman of great quietude,
mother and daughter of this land
seductive of the heart, spellbinding of the love

Love sweetness and care
you deliver with submissive kindness
you do not renounce to the destiny
welcoming those most in need

Way of light and confidence
you are North of infants
Clinging to your arms
they say take me with you
to where the horizon is born

Admirable and seasoned
it is your essence
of life's battles to win
you follow ahead without discouraging

"PROJECT ELA"

Dear friends,

It seems like next week we will have favorable news about Ela's visa.

My friends David and Samantha have signed the co -sponsor documents.

As you know I have requested of all of you a donation of $20 to help me with the airfare from USA to Ukraine for Ela and myself.

Many of you have responded and I have placed you in a "donors list" so when we get Ela's visa, I will send you an e mail and let you know where to deposit the $2o

Looking in the Internet, I will need about $5000 for the total trip, so every one of you are a very important part of this humanitarian mission.

Please forward the video I sent you to all your friends, we need all the help we can find!

thank you, thank you, thank you universe!

"GRANDMA PACHI IS GOO GOO GAA GAA"

Hello everyone,
I am so happy with my new grandson, he is soo cute!

I came to Nevada to spend a week helping my daughter Michelle with the baby.

I am sleeping in my grandson Zachary's bedroom, which is next to the nursery.

Mimi gets up several times to breastfeed, but it is my job to get up and check on him when he wakes up.

I spent the night holding him and looking into those tiny little eyes, he was in no hurry to sleep, so this morning at 6 am we finally went to sleep

thank you , thank you, thank you universe~~!!
