THE SINGING VASES

Hello friends,

Today I went to the Beth David Temple here in San Luis Obispo, where an awesome woman called Barbara Perry gave a fantastic show.
It was called
"Our Beautiful Earth, Spirit and Nature Dancing Together"

It was a multimedia experience, with Barbara playing the Music of the Spheres (crystal singing
bowls) with a visual presentation of Our Beautiful Earth: slides of the four seasons – fall, winter, spring and summer – the four elements – sky, water, earth and fire – and a sprinkle of our animals, fish, frogs, deer, polar bears, etc.

Barbara Perry, in 2001, after finishing chemotherapy and radiation, wondered
how she was going to heal and keep herself healthy. She happened upon Crystal Singing Bowls and loved the harmonic overtones and the feeling of joy she felt after playing them. She then studied sound healing with Jonathan Goldman, Fabien Mamon, Renee Brodie, and at the Globe
Institute of Psycho Acoustic Music and Sound Healing in San Francisco..

Before Barbara discovered crystal singing bowls and became a sound therapist, she was
a professional photographer and graphic artist.

The place was perfect, we all arrived and the slide presentation was awesome, but that along the wonderful mellow sounds she creates with this huge white crystal quartz vases was sooo nice.
My friend Alba, came from Santa Maria and we lay down on a blanket she brought and I brought the pillow and we along with many other women, just relaxed and enjoyed the healing power of the sound and she soothing peace.

thank you, thank you , thank you universe!

MY DAUGHTER PASCALE IN CHILE

Hello my dear friends,

My daughter Pascale lives in Chile, she went snowboarding this weekend up in the Andes Mountains with her best friend Anysol.
Inspired by the modern European resorts, Valle Nevado was built by a French company at the foot of the imposing El Plomo Peak. After its inauguration in 1988, it immediately became an absolute on all itineraries for tourists in Chile and South America.
Today, under the administration of a Chilean business group, it continues progressing towards the future ever seeking to satisfy the most demanding guests.
miles from Santiago's International airport, Valle Nevado ski resort is in the heart of the Andes offering more than twenty-three thousand acres of skiable terrain. Host to the World Cup of Snowboard again last year, packs all of the mountain, services and comforts you are accustomed to with high-speed detachable chairlift, a ski shop full of carving skis, top notch ski-pros that speak a dozen languages, helicopter skiing / riding, South America's only Super Half-Pipe, and access to three mountains back to back to back. With more than 23.000 acres of skiable domain Valle Nevado is the largest ski resort in the southern hemisphere. With scores of groomed slopes, heaps of fresh powder, a multitude of bumps and entire Andean meadows of off-piste, you'll find a world of skiing adventure to be explored in this ski resort.
SnowBoarding
Valle Nevado hosted the first event on the 2003/2004 Snowboard FIS World Cup circuit- the only southern hemisphere stop on the tour. Be prepared for world-calibre competition. With more than 9,000 acres of riding, more than thirty-five groomed trails and superb Andean meadows of off-piste terrain, this is the largest resort for riding in the summer months. It offers for the second season, the hemisphere's first Super Half-Pipe.
Here are some cool pictures she sent me.

"MI VISIT WITH THE PRESIDENT OF CHILE MICHELLE BACHELET"

Dear Friends,

Yesterday I drove nine hours ( with my son Dimitri as a co pilot) at 80 mph across the Mojave desert from San Luis Obispo to Las Vegas, Nevada.

I went invited by the Chilean Consulate in Las Vegas to visit with the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet.

She was in Las Vegas for a reception given to her by the Chilean Community in Las Vegas, before taking off in the presidential plane back to Chile.
This was the last day of an incredible trip to Canada and California.

She visited both countries members of NAFTA.
Not so solicit help, but as an equal partner

Here in California she visited with our Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

Met with the director of the US Geological Survey John Pallister and his team. They sign an accord to extend the collaboration between Chile and the USA creating an early alert system.
As you know the Chilean volcano Chaiten, had a terrible eruption last month.

She gave a conference at UC Berkeley title " Transformation of Chile" where she was presented with the " Institution 's Medal "

Later she visited the vineyards at UC Davis

And she gave a speech at the Capitol in Sacramento in front of Senators and Representatives of the State of California.

Then she flew to Nevada and visited the largest Solar Power Plant
She wants to use the Chilean Atacama Desert as a source of solar energy for Chile

And after all that, she met with yours truly at a reception in the lovely hotel Wynn in Las Vegas

Where I told her how proud I was of her, and we reminisced of our days as young girls
at the air force base where both of our fathers were officers and laughed remembering our friends in common.

It was an awesome day!!!

She took off back to Chile and I drove home again,( mi co pilot fell a sleep) arriving home exhausted but happy at 3 am.

"DAY WITH CREATIVE WOMEN"

We arrive from near and far
smiling, hugging and laughing
happy to see each other...

Every year under the sycamores
by the creek we meet
bringing our creations
sharing our art...

Creative women we all are
our hands magical tools
our voices sweet melodies
our words pure poetry...

A day with creative women
our banner announces
and the young girls
walk among our art
with bright eyes
filled with wonder...

And the old sisters
visit us with tenderness
happy to see our unity
blessing us with smiles...

Welcome sisters
old and new
here we meet again
to show our art,
to make new friends
to sing along
the ancient
song of sisterhood...
