A wonderful day with my grandson Zachary

Hello everyone,

Today was wonderful, I spent it with my grandson Zachary who is 3

He arrived early, brought in by his other grandma Kai, as soon as he was here he asked me to go to the kitchen and said "Grandma Pachi please make me a big glass of " Milo with warm milk" (I brought Milo from Chile, a kind of chocolate malt) and we climbed in my bed to play with my laptop. I uploaded a bunch of toddler's games and he remained entertained for a long time painting and seeing baby animals.

We got in my car and went to the store " Dollar Tree" and we bought a pile of toys and things for Christmas.

Later we went to the airport and we had lunch in the terrace of the restaurant that faces the runway, since whenever he comes for a visit (he lives in Nevada near Lake Tahoe,) he loves to watch the airplanes take off and land, when one comes for a landing he counts from 5 down and when the airplane touches the ground he yells " touchdown! " he makes me smile, I am sure he will be a pilot some day.

He had french fries with ketchup and an orange juice and I had a bowl of fresh fruit, (of course he took all my grapes)

On the way home we saw smoke over one of hills and like a good fireman's son he is, he asked me to "go and investigate" so we started off to watch and there was a fire on the hill, luckily there was no wind and the firemen already were extinguishing it, airplanes and helicopters were throwing water.

Hopefully they extinguish it completely, because winds are expected tonight and it would be horrible if houses burn like in Malibu last month.

Later we returned home and Dimitri got from school and they sat together to play videos in the living room. It melts my heart to see them side by side happily, the uncle and the nephew.

Soon Kai came to pick him up and he went away; "promising to return tomorrow and to spend the night with me ".

We went with Dimitri to the store " Vons" to buy buffalo wings and roasted potatoes and
we took them to the school, where I fed 45 soccer players!
All of the moms take turns, feeding once a week the high school soccer team.

We just arrive home and I am in my bed, it is cold, (the weather guy says that will freeze tonight, hopefully my plants will survive)

Dimitri is down stairs doing his homework and everything is peaceful.

thank you, thank you, thank you universe…
