A WONDERFUL DAY

Dear friends,

Today was a wonderful day, the weather was perfect and I spent from 10 am till 5 pm
at the Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo, California.
My group, the Women Community Center of San Luis Obispo County did our 34th fundraising, our " Day with Creative Women"
Women from all over California came and brought their art, and set up their little booths and the public came and sat on the grass to listen to music, and see the talented women's musical groups that performed all day.
It was wonderful.
We made money, met friends old and new and at the end of the day, I drove to Arroyo Grande with my son Dimitri and we went to the MUSIFIESTA celebrating my country of CHILE.
The Asociacion Cultural Latino Americana did an awesome party, there was excellent food, good friends and we had a great celebration.
The performers were, the Chilean Poet Elisa Ferrada, who recited her wonderful poems, and I got to sit with her and took pictures. I was surprised when she knew about me and my life mission.
Then the folk singer Rafael Manriquez sang with his guitar, the folk group ARAUCARIA danced and showed the different dances of CHILE .
I got to see my old friends Alba Barberia from Argentina, Isabel Ruiz from Peru and Annik Alvarez from France. We have been friends for 3o years!!!
And I was surprised when they called my name and presented me with a lovely plaque to recognize my work with the Association. It says " Acknowledging your efforts and celebrating your dedication to humanitarian causes"
I drove home at 11 pm and I was very happy.
